IT INTERNSHIP PROGRAMME

At Allahabad High Court we have envisaged upon a new journey, to provide an opportunity to students pursuing professional technical courses in Computer/IT, an IT Internship platform which will provide them an opportunity to hone their skill in various technical areas, viz., Web application development, Mobile app development (Android and iOS based), Database Management, Software Testing, Network Management, Network Security etc. The internship program will be a non-remunerative program for a period of not less than 4 weeks. This opportunity can be harnessed by the applicants to gain practical experience in a real-world, professional environment.

1. Eligibility Criteria
  1. Engineering Graduates (CS/CSE/IT) or equivalent, with at least 60% marks in the semesters/ terms till date in the pursuing qualifying degree.
  2. Engineering Post – Graduates (CS/CSE/IT)or equivalent, with at least 60% marks in the semesters/ terms till date in the pursuing qualifying degree.
  3. All candidates pursuing MCA, M.Sc(CS/IT) with at least 60% marks in the semesters/ terms till date in the pursuing qualifying degree.
2. Interest Areas for IT Internship:
S.N. Role Description
1. Java / PHP / Python Developer/ NodeJS / .Net/ JavaScript and its various libraries specifically jquery and react
  • Develop or maintain modules in web-based applications using latest technology.
  • Write RESTful APIs and integrate third-party services.
  • Debug and troubleshoot backend issues in existing systems / code.
  • Participate in code reviews and adhere to secure coding practices.
  • Development of best practices for scalable application
2. UI-UX Designer / Frontend Developer (React/ JavaScript / Angular / Typescript)
  • Design / Develop responsive and user-friendly web interfaces using frontend technology.
  • Develop reusable components, ensure cross browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
  • Standardization of Website by using GIGW Compliance and Industry best practices.
3. Product Testing / Security Testing / Software Testing / Quality Analyst
  • Assist in conducting scans on web applications and services using tools like Nessus, or Burp Suite and prepare VAPT reports outlining risks and possible mitigation strategies.
  • Perform basic security testing of applications (e.g., SQL injection, XSS, broken authentication).
  • Write initial plan, test cases and test scripts for web and mobile applications.
  • Perform manual, automated testing and AI Bot testing using tools like Selenium or Postman.
  • Track bugs, report issues, and ensure software quality before deployment.
  • Participate in regression, performance, and security testing.
4. Database Management
  • Assist in managing and optimizing databases like MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, MS-SQL.
  • Monitor database performance and ensure regular backups and recovery mechanisms.
  • Create and manage database schemas, indexes, access controls, and query optimization. Support data migration, replication, and security practices.
  • Manage large databases and clustering
3. Interest Areas for IT Internship:

Interested students may follow the following steps to submit their application for being considered to provide internship at Allahabad High Court:

  1. Fill the Online Application and upload all the necessary documents by following the steps in Online Application Form which can be accessed by clicking here.
  2. Applicant must upload the below mentioned documents along with their online application form -
    1. Marksheet of each Semester/ Term examination passed till date in the pursuing qualifying degree.
    2. Forwarding letter of the College/University issued by the Head of Department, Dean, Director or the Registrar as the case may be, mentioning the proposed period of Internship and area/subject of interest, together and the official e-mail id of the issuing authority, at which confirmation may be sought.
    3. Certificate/s of previous Internship experience, if any, together with the official email id of the issuing authority at which confirmation may be sought.
    4. Current Student Identity Card, issued to the applicant, by the College/University, with the official email id of the issuing authority.
    5. Updated Resume.
  3. Upon successful submission of an application form, a unique Application ID shall be generated and communicated to the applicant. It may be referred to in all subsequent communications.
  4. Subject to due verification of documents, shortlisted applicants may be Interviewed through 'Video Conferencing' only.
  5. The shortlisted applicant shall be intimated the start date of their Internship, about one month in advance. The applicants not shortlisted shall be informed accordingly, at the earliest.
4. Selection Criteria for IT Internship:
  1. Interns will be shortlisted based on marks obtained in semesters/ terms in the qualifying degree and will be selected for the internship through interviews / based on the judgment by the internal selection committee/ competent authority as per the requirements.
  2. Weightage to be given to students who have done relevant certification courses.
  3. Weightage to top 100 colleges per year as per ranking given by National Institutional Ranking Framework by Ministry of Education.
  4. The selection of the candidate will be based on the prescribed weightage formula.
5. Conditions/Guidelines for Internship
  1. The minimum duration of Internship shall be 04 (four) weeks.
  2. The IT Intern shall maintain confidentiality, integrity, and remain keen to work, throughout the duration of their Internship.
  3. During the Internship, the Intern shall maintain dignity, decorum and discipline of the workplace at the High Court, including non-use of mobile phone while at work. The Intern shall not loiter in the High Court premises or involve with work of the officers and staff of the High Court.
  4. The Internship program is non-remunerative.
  5. The Intern shall make and bear the arrangements and expenses for their stay, food, lodging and transport.
  6. Upon successful completion of three weeks of their Internship, the Intern may apply for extension of the Internship, by two weeks.
  7. Application for extension of Internship may be allowed, subject to approval of competent authority.
  8. Upon successful completion of the Internship and submission of project report, appropriate Certificate of Internship shall be issued to the IT Intern, with intimation to the concerned College/University at the email id disclosed under clause (3) (ii) (b) above.
  9. IT Interns would be expected to remain regular and punctual. They shall adhere to Court timings and report to the concerned Technical Officer of the Court, under whom they may intern.
  10. IT Interns shall observe formal dress code.
  11. Internet, database and office facilities may be provided and may be used by IT Interns for research and official work only.
  12. The assignment of the IT Intern to the Technical Officers would remain subject to the discretion of the competent authority.
